"Most American Chestnut trees died from a
severe blight that swept the country in the early 1900's.
This slab was cut from a tree that died years ago in an
undisclosed park in New Jersey. Testimony to the rare
attributes of this wood, the log was found in good condition.

of a rare offering of American Chestnut."
